The goal of the ENCISS programme is to strengthen citizens’ voice and to improve accountability. Our vision is to see an active and engaged civil society capable of articulating citizens’ demands and an effective and accountable state. ENCISS is funded by UKaid from the UK Government’s Department for International Development and the European Union and is managed by Christian Aid.
Based in Freetown, with frequent travel to the regions, the post holder will be responsible for the on-going revision, development, and implementation of the programme’s communications strategy.
To apply for this post you should have significant experience in the field of communications, preferably in programme communications, along with experience of communications within development work, preferably in NGO context; proven ability to develop and implement impactful and strategic communications aligned with programme or corporate objectives; strong verbal and written communication skills and a proven ability to manage design and editorial processes; ability to operate independently in insecure environments; strong facilitation skills, and the ability to operate with diplomacy and tact.
