Position Summary Production Assistant General Manager for Rosetta and West Delta Deep Marine assets, ensuring safe and efficient Production from Egypt’s largest gas fields.The role includes close working in a multinational, multicultural Joint Venture operation and is expected to impart key Operational knowledge to national colleagues – both BG and EGPC. | ||||||||||||||||||||||
Key Accountabilities · Be proactive in the development of a robust safety culture and a role model in commitment to that ideal · Review Permits and associated documentation and ensure constant compliance with company policies and procedures · Ensure that field production, maintenance operations and modifications are carried out in accordance with HSE and Change Procedure · Assist with the risk assessment process, providing guidance and coaching where required · Minimise fugitive emissions and effluent discharge in compliance with the company's environmental policy · Manage appropriate manning levels and skill-mixes within shifts/teams. · Ensure that competency assurance requirements for the Asset operationspersonnel are met. · Be accountable for the safe and effective operation of production and utilities of Asset plants · Own and manage the operational interface with the downstream LNG facility · Own the daily Production Optimisation workflows and drive the implementation of daily recommendations by the Production teams · Minimise production plant downtime, both planned and unplanned · Encourage effective teamwork and demonstrate a lead by example approach · Every individual has a duty to both themselves and those around them to ensure that safe practice is adhered to at all times. In addition to any specific accountabilities for HSSE, all employees are accountable for ensuring that they take care of themselves and adopt exemplary safe behaviours. | ||||||||||||||||||||||
Unique Knowledge, Skills, Experience and Attribute · Strong Health, Safety and Environmental record and commitment · Significant knowledge of the oil and gas industry, gas chains such that has the ability to identify and optimize value drivers · Experience in working and influencing in a multi discipline and multi cultural environment · Experienced in front line Operations, working with key contractor companies · Experienced communicator with peers and Senior Management · Experienced in working with, advising, influencing and integrating all levels of business including the senior management team. · Experience in managing simultaneous operations involving production, drilling, maintenance and construction in a subsea environment · Engineering qualification is desirable · Professional qualification (Chartered Engineer) is desirable or sufficient experience as above. · Knowledge of gas industry and gas chains · Knowledge of Arabic would be advantageous · Fluent written and spoken English is essential · Strong demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to perform with minimal supervision · Strong interpersonal skills with experience influencing project teams and contractors · Planning and budgeting experience · Strong Written and verbal communication · Excellent interpersonal skills in a cross cultural environment and ability to communicate effectively to senior management, peers and subordinates. · Ability to move and change mindsets which inhibit performance. · Self motivated in a small BG Expat team working in a challenging JV environment. · Patience and self control in an environment that at times can be difficult and challenging. · Flexible thinking to develop ideas & solutions · Determination to deliver | ||||||||||||||||||||||
