Senior Lecturer/ Associate Professor/Full Professor Political Studies, in the School of Social Sciences, enjoys an international reputation for outstanding teaching, research and public engagement, and now seeks to make onepermanent appointment at the level of Senior Lecturer, Associate Professor or Full Professor.

The successful applicant will have an ability and willingness to provide academic leadership, participate in a collegial atmosphere, generate quality published research, and provide teaching in both undergraduate and postgraduate programmes in culturally diverse environments.
Qualifications and experience required for Senior Lecturer, Associate Professor and Professor:
- PhD in Politics or related discipline.
- Established research record, including publications in internationally recognized journals.
- Proven teaching record.
Additional qualifications and experience required for Associate Professor and Professor:
- Record in academic leadership and mentoring.
- Record of post-graduate supervision.
Additional qualifications and experience required for Professor:
- Record of PhD supervision
- Proven ability to obtain external research funding will be an advantage.
Duties:Undergraduate and postgraduate teaching, ongoing research leadership, service to the School of Social Sciences, the Faculty of Humanities and the University, the profession and the wider South African community.
