Purpose of the position:
To support in the development of project proposals, participate in fund raising initiatives, and support the Project Manager in ensuring adherence to donor requirements. The incumbent will also be responsible for project reporting as per the terms of agreement, perform donor liaison functions by ensuring that donor concerns are addressed and project related questions are responded to in the shortest time possible.
Key Responsibilities
Resource acquisition & Reporting:
• Lead in proposal development according to WV Mali strategy in alignment with LEAP standards
• Facilitate compilation and fine tuning of project reports ensuring they are presented in a timely manner and meet donor / Support Office requirements.
• Ensure all non-financial grant requirements are adhered to as per the donor requirements and agreements.
• Support the Project Manager in the development of performance-monitoring tools to track program indicators in line with the program implementation plan.
• Take the lead on, or assist in developing project needs assessments
• Prepare program updates to key WV support offices and the regional office

• Maintain good donor communication and represent WVM to Support Offices, key NGOs/CBOs, UN agencies and Governmental Departments;
• Participate in project related joint agency assessments, task-force teams and workshops, etc.
• Respond to general project related reporting queries.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
• University degree in social sciences or any other related field
• Requires at least 3 years work experience
• Requires cross-cultural experience, understanding and sensitivity.
• Must have a clear understanding of major donors’ perspectives, requirements and standards.
• Able to represent WVM to major donors in a manner that is professional.
• Requires excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Requires experience in project DM&E and proposal writing.
• Must have proven analytical/problem-solving abilities.
• Requires excellent interpersonal and written and oral communication skills.
• Must be computer literate with fluency in both written and spoken French and English.
• Requires at least 3 years work experience
