About Tiyatien Health
Founded by survivors of Liberia’s civil war, Tiyatien Health (known in the United States as Last Mile Health) is redefining how post-conflict nations rebuild rural public health services. Filling the massive health worker shortage in rural post-conflict areas, we recruit, train, equip, and support villagers to serve as frontline health workers, delivering comprehensive home-based medical services in “last mile” villages previously thought to be unreachable.
These services include our innovative rural health care delivery program, which is based on a well trained cadre of frontline health workers (FHW) to provide comprehensive primary and acute care services in the community, integrated with local health center, which we support directly to achieve our goals. These programs focus on the following services: primary and acute care for pregnant woman, infants and children, immunizations, family planning, increasing ANC/PNC and facility deliveries, HIV, TB and non-communicable disease
