You will lead on the planning, implementation, monitoring and reporting of cross sector programmes within country programme objectives. You will make sure that policy sector support and influencing initiatives are evidence based; and are contributing towards the achievement of country strategic objectives. You will also be responsible to ensure that rooted influencing objectives are sufficiently embedded in the partners’ service delivery projects; and national and regional level policy sector support and influencing are made part of the national and international networks
You will have line management responsibility and advise senior management on policy, sector support and influencing agendas; and represent WaterAid Ethiopia at different meetings and forums, both nationally and internationally. You will work towards increasing the profile of WaterAid Ethiopia for influencing policies and practices as well as the equity and inclusion agenda of the organisation.
A graduate in development studies, public policy, administration or a related field, with a minimum of eight years experience in the area, you should understand technical and social issues relating to water, sanitation and hygiene promotion (WASH).
WASH knowledge and ability to get up to speed quickly with human rights, governance and transparency, economics, environment and development would be a major advantage.
