The Organisation BG Trinidad & Tobago a major producing asset for BG Group, contributing some 27mmboe production per year with a strategic objective to increase this to 50mmboe per year by 2020. BG Group supplies gas to the domestic market and to Atlantic LNG with around two thirds of production being exported as LNG and the remainder going to the domestic market.

Position Summary Geologist position within the Exploration team in one of BG's core Assets. The Trinidad Asset is a mature Asset with significant growth potential for which the Exploration team is key to delivery. The geologist role will predominantly be responable for reservoir modelling of pre-sanction discoveries and analysing geological data in support to exploration prospect evlaution, regional studies, and new venture opportunities as part of a multidiscipline team.

Key Accountabilities Build a robust geological understanding of the Trinidad's basins and associated petroleum system Develop Static geocelluar (Petrel) models for discovered resources and provide support for reserves reporting Perform volumetric (Geox) calculations in support of exploration prospects Ensures that all geological uncertainties and risks are encorporated into the prospect evaluation and reservoir modelling process Presents completed analysis and recommendations at Peer Reviews, Peer Assists and Functional Reviews as part of the Assurance process Also presentes to JV partners, Government, Auditors etc as requred Contributes to all phases of planning, delivery and evaluation of well operations as assigned, including Geotech Documents, data gathering, daily reporting and post-well studies and analyses. Ensures all own evaluations are documented and related geological data (both petrotechnical and physical) is handled in accordance with BG’s Data Management Standards. Provides mentorship for graduates and interns through their GDP and university projects repsectively. Unique Knowledge, Skills, Experience and Attribute Experience Needed  Experience of a variety of geological settings (depositional and structural), plays and basins with exposure to regional and new venture evaluations, prospect generation and evaluation and/or well operations planning and delivery. Trinidad's is dominated by clastic basins with complex extensional and compressional (with transpessional overprint) trap systems. Should be able to intergrate different types of data (although not expected to be a expert in seismic interpretation). Competent user of core geological interpretation software (Geoframe/Petrel/GeoX/Arcgis). Familiarity with Genesis and Trinity will be an asset. Has awareness of other subsurface disciplines. May have experience of building effective internal and external (partners, governments and contractors) .   Knowledge, Languages,Skills and Attributes   Excellent presentation skills and clear and convincing report writing ability. Proven skills in time and project management Must be effective operating in a matrix team structure. Needs to be self aware, able and willing to grow and extend their influence with appropriate stakeholders. Able to proactively manage their own professional development, in consultation with their Line and Parent Manager.
