The following position is available at Medupi Power Station:
SITE CONSTRUCTION MANAGER

Key responsibilities:
- Manage and lead all site construction and operational activities, including teams, liaise with and report to clients, and coordinate and supervise the activities of the appointed subcontractors
- Ensure compliance with all health, safety and environmental regulations and carry the associated legal appointment
- Coach, lead, supervise, evaluate and motivate direct and indirect reports
- Ensure proper implementation of and compliance with relevant site procedures and policies, including proper controls of all site-related documents
- Perform scheduled and routine site inspections and generate reports on such, as required
- Take full responsibility and accountability for the development of and adherence to the site budget
- Prepare and maintain the site claims management process in strict accordance with the associated contract requirements
- Ensure adherence to the project construction standards and tolerances
- Manage the site construction interface between other contractors in accordance with the associated contract requirements
Minimum requirements:
- A relevant qualification in Mechanical Engineering
- A minimum of 7-10 years' construction management or related experience
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and Projects
- Project scheduling experience
