We are looking to recruit a Finance and Accounting Director who will lead the Finance, Accounting & Operations business solution set into the market area, and to take leadership on other business/practice management roles to support leadership.
As a senior member of the assignment team, this role will also assist and conduct assignments for our clients aimed at effective overall financial management as well as corporate performance management. This is achieved through improving companies’ transactional, process and decision support process, strategic cost management and analysis, enhancing underlying technologies, and refining finance function organization designs.
Roles & Responsibilities
Main Responsibilities:
Building a network of client relationship aimed at facilitating business growth
Managing client relationships through positive and proactive engagement
Drive multiple industry thought leadership initiatives
Ensure teams follow risk management policies and standards on engagement delivery in accordance with standards
Lead and report on Line of Service engagement economics & metrics
Leading the client engagement delivery through proactive engagement, issues resolution and quality delivery
As a trusted advisor, demonstrate a deep understanding of client business challenges & mobilize necessary cross-competency teams to resolve them
Effectively leading in people development
Acting as role model by engaging staff through mentoring and counselling
Supporting leadership in building and maintaining a pipeline of competent staff in the Finance and Accounting practice area
Building good cross function relationships and supporting key internal roles and aiding them meet their firm objectives
Requirements
A good first degree and relevant post graduate qualificationMaster’s degree (business/accounting/finance orientation)
CPA or ACCA or other accredited accounting qualification
Additional Information
Job Experience:-Minimum of 8 years’ experience in Finance, Accounting & Operations consulting, 3- 4 years in senior management role
Experience outside market of operation will be an added advantage
Experience in building and maintaining strong relations with senior level clients and key industry contacts
Demonstrated expertise and success with advising organizations on improving efficiency and effectiveness in transaction processing, close and consolidation, budgeting and forecasting, and internal and external reporting
Leading teams and project management engagements in a professional business services environment in shared service and outsourcing, finance transformation, performance management, financial systems optimization, and talent management
Experience in utilizing business intelligence and performance management software tools
Demonstrated and proven expert-level abilities and direct success with identifying, obtaining and processing critical data (e.g. benchmarks); Used to challenge the status quo through innovative thought leadership in the application of standard industry practice solutions for high performing finance functions
Experience in internal and external reporting, people and organization structures, performance management, budgeting and forecasting capabilities; cash flow optimization and the use of capital; and, building and maintaining cost-effective controls.
Demonstrated proven expert-level abilities and success with identifying and addressing client needs: building, maintaining, and utilizing networks of client relationships and community involvement; communicating value propositions; managing resource requirements, project workflow, budgets, billing and collections; and preparing and/or coordinating complex written and verbal materials.
Demonstrated leadership skills and experience leading projects and diverse teams

Demonstrable industry working knowledge and expertise in at least one the following industries – Financial Services, Government Agencies, Consumer products, Telecommunication, Energy and Mining.
