Duties:
- Teaching undergraduate and postgraduate Computer Science modules
- research and publication in any relevant area of Computer Science
- advising and supervising Honours and Master’s students
- administrational roles on a rotational basis.
Requirements:
- A Master’s degree (or a Master’s thesis submitted) in Computer Science or Computer Engineering
- at least three years’ teaching experience in Computer Science
- a strong background in program development (programming) and systems administration.
Recommendations:
- Research expertise in at least one of the following: automata theory and natural language processing, machine learning, software engineering, program analysis and communication networks
- sound communicative skills
- the ability to teach in English, and as far as possible, in Afrikaans.
Commencement of duties: 1 January 2014 or as soon as possible thereafter
