Our client, a well-known Energy Developer, is looking to add an experienced and visionary Senior Business Developer to their South African team. This is an exciting opportunity in the fast-growing energy industry, where the successful candidate will be responsible for the overall development of new opportunities, providing direction and strategy, developing and managing a portfolio strategy, and guiding the Project and Opportunity Managers through the complete lifecycle of projects.
The ideal candidate will come with a proven and verifiable track record having a resume of closed energy deals to draw from. Project focus is South Africa, SADC, and East and Central Africa and as such an acute awareness of the African energy and project landscape is essential. Projects are focussed on a diverse range of energy sources including renewables, co-gen and fossil fuels (especially gas).
Requirements:
- Degree and post-graduate business qualification (preferably MBA)
- Minimum of 10 years’ working experience
- 2 years’ in energy related projects
- 1 - 3 years’ project management experience
- 2 - 4 years’ business development experience
- Ability to develop and manage project budgets and compliances
- Internal and external stakeholder interfacing
